Stefan Ivanov, M.A

Expertise: mass incarceration; criminal justice policy; neighborhood social processes; public opinion; courts/sentencing

Stefan is a third-year Ph.D. student in the School of Criminal Justice at University at Albany, SUNY. He received his M.A. in Criminal Justice from UAlbany and his B.A. in Criminology from The Ohio State University. Most recently, his work has focused on public opinion of criminal justice policies, particularly the criminal justice system response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He is a strong advocate for public criminology and the need to make academic research accessible for practitioners and the public alike.
