Matthew Kafafian, M.S

Expertise: human trafficking; criminological theory; international and comparative crime

Matthew is currently a Ph.D. student in Northeastern’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He received his BA from West Virginia University in Criminology and a Master of Science from Northeastern in Criminology and Criminal Justice. He is currently a graduate research assistant in the Institute of Race and Justice where his research has an applied focus studying institutional responses to human trafficking. In addition, his other area of focus investigates criminological explanations and their application to non-western contexts.
