Madison Gerdes is a doctoral student in Criminology and Justice Policy and Northeastern University. She received her bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from Vanderbilt University. Madison’s research interests include homicide, gun violence, fear of crime, and public opinion of criminal justice issues. Her work has recently focused on averted mass shootings and factors determining media coverage of public mass shootings.
